    文貴清澈，是宋代大詩人蘇東坡的主張，他提倡寫作用清麗的“秀語”(蘇拭《次韻仲殊雪中游西湖》)，古人也將這種文字稱作“淡泊清空’，這是高品位的行文。

    清澈的反面是晦澀，行文晦澀，故作幽深，交流效果必定很差，因此翻譯應該力戒。面的譯例行文就相當晦澀,立意于改進:
